Barkawi at the ISLA Campus

To attract the best graduates for consulting in Supply Chain Management- this goal is more important than ever for Barkawi. Therefore, Barkawi is supporting the ISLA Campus "Business meets Science" on March 17th in Hamburg, Germany. Managers of renowned companies will meet leading scientists and up-and-coming managers of tomorrow.

Host of the event is the Kühne Logistics University (KLU), who not only impresses through its location in Hamburg's HafenCity, but is also ranked among the best German speaking universities for Business Administration (CHE- and Handelsblatt ranking). With its focus on supply chain management, the university is a perfect fit for Barkawi Management Consultants specialization.

At the event, participants will get to know new scientific-based, implementable solutions for common challenges in customer service and supply chain. Management level participants can profit from the access to research's newest cutting edge results. Conversely, the academics have the opportunity to gain deeper understanding of business practices. Students and graduates have the possibility to start conversations with potential employers.

Next to Barkawi, the Cardiff University (Professor Aris Syntetos), the KLU (Professor Sandra Transchel), the Rijksuniversität Groningen (Professor Ruud Teunter), the Satair Group (Olaf Lawenz, COO) and the University of Magdeburg (PD Rainer Kleber) are represented as presenters.

While Dr. Andreas Baader will be talking about how Big Data can revolutionize customer service and spare parts management, Professor Syntetos will present a simple and practical approach to optimize inventory based on individual SKUs.

Last but not least: interested executives, managers, graduates and students as well as scientists can sign up for participation until the 13th of March with the International Service Logistics Association (ISLA).
