With “Supply Chain Execution“ Barkawi strengthens its implementation approach in logistics – New Vice President leads Business Unit

Munich based Barkawi Management Consultants just recently started a new Business Unit with focus on Supply Chain implementation topics. Next to the longtime established units “Supply Chain Strategy” and “Supply Chain Operations” the new unit is called “Supply Chain Execution” .

“Supporting consulting projects from strategy development to the final implementation of concepts is our heritage”, says Karim Barkawi, founder and managing director of the company. “With this new unit we finally implement this important aspect also organizationally. On the basis of our great corporate development and the trends in the market for management consulting we made the decision to expand our business unit portfolio”, adds Barkawi.

Wolfgang Schürholz new Vice President

Wolfgang Schürholz (45) leads the new unit as a Vice President. Wolfgang is “Diplom-Ingenieur Logistik” and works for Barkawi since two years. He started his career in the industry and he can rely on many years of professional experience in the logistics industry.

His new business unit is focusing on the optimization of structures and processes in the fields of intra logistics and distribution logistics. He and his team accompany clients from strategic make-or-buy decisions via planning and network design and biddings for transportation and warehousing services to implementation support. Next to the typical KPIs of cost and quality, sustainable green logistics solutions become more and more important.
